Praying that the invalidity pension granted him be made retrospective to date of original application. I am directed to report that in the opinion of the Committee the petition should be referred to the Government for favourable consideration. 15th September, 1938.
No. 6.—Petition of W. G. Kingsbuky. Praying that he be granted the old-age pension. I am directed to report that the member in charge of the petition having requested permission to withdraw it, the Committee recommends that he be allowed to do so. F. W. Schbamm, Chairman. . 16th September, 1938.
Special Repoet. I have the honour to report that at its final meeting the Public Petitions A to L Committee passed the following resolution : " That this Committee desires to place on record its high appreciation of the very capable and courteous manner in which the Chairman, Mr. F. W. Schramm, has presided over its deliberations during the session, and directs that this resolution shall be recorded in the minutes of the Committee and be reported to the House." 16th September, 1938.
