REPORTS. No. 157/1937-38. —Petition of Nellie Jacobson. Praying for additional compensation in respect of a property acquired by the Crown for educational purposes. I have the honour to report that the Committee has carefully considered this petition, and recommends that the petition be referred to the Government for consideration. 11th August, 1938.

No. 169/1937-38. —Petition of Catherine Lavery. Praying that her total service with the Education Department be treated as continuous for the purposes of superannuation. I have the honour to report that the Committee has carefully considered this petition, and recommends that the petition be referred to the Government for consideration. 11th August, 1938.

No. 119/1932.—Petition of W. Stirling. Praying for recognition of back service for the purpose of superannuation. I have the honour to report that the member in charge of the petition having expressed a desire to withdraw same, the Committee recommends that he be allowed to do so. 11th August, 1938.

No. 78/1936. —Petition of Jessie J. M. Macintosh. Praying that her total period of service with the Education Department be counted for superannuation purposes on payment of back contributions. I have the honour to report that the Committee has carefully considered this petition, and recommends that the petition be referred to the Government for consideration. 24th August, 1938.

No. 204/1932. —Petition of V. J. Gamble and 4 Others. Praying for recognition of back service for the purpose of superannuation. I have the honour to report that the Committee has carefully considered this petition, and recommends that the petition be referred to the Government for consideration. 24th August, 1938.

No. 31. —Petition of Christina Goodridge. Praying for compensation for alleged wrongful dismissal from the Education Service. I have the honour to report that in the opinion of the Committee the petition should be referred to the Government for favourable consideration. 13th September, 1938.

Education Amendment Bill. I have the honour to report that the Education Committee has carefully considered the Education Amendment Bill, and recommends that it be allowed to proceed without amendment. Rev. Clyde Carr, Chairman. 13th September, 1938.
