Alfred Grace, Secretary The Audit Office, having examined the Balance-sheet and accompanying accounts required by law to be audited, hereby certifies them to be correct subject to the following exceptions : (1) Insufficient security has been obtained by the Board in respect of an advance of £500 made in the form of an issue of debentures to the Tuwharetoa Timber Co., Ltd. ; (2) certain advances made to members of the Board have not been confirmed by a Maori Land Board and/or have not been secured as required by section 41, Native Land Amendment and Native Land Claims Adjustment Act, 1927, and section 56, Native Purposes Act, 1931. —• J.
