Ordered, " That a Select Committee be appointed, consisting, by leave, of twelve members, to consider all Bills and other matters relating to mining which may be referred to it: the Committee to oonsist of Mr. Barclay, Mr. Bodkin, Mr. Broadfoot, Mr. Denham, Mr. Goosman, Mr. Frost, the Hon. Mr. Lee Martin, Mr. Monour, Mr. O'Brien, Mr. Skinner, Mr. Thorn, and the Mover."—(Mr. O'Brien, for Hon. Mr. Webb.) Thursday, the 3rd Day oe August, 1939. Ordered, " That all petitions not finally dealt with during the session of 1938 be again referred to the same Committees as they were referred to during the said session." —(Hon. Mr. Fraser.) Memorandum for the Chairman of the Goldfields and Mines Committee :— Pursuant to section 42 (6) of the Petroleum Act, 1937, Paper No. 57 (Regulations under the Petroleum Act, 1937) stands referred to the Goldfields and Mines Committee.
