(b) An officer (Assistant Bio-chemist) from Wallaceville Research Station is visiting Australia on matters relative to facial-eczema investigations. (c) Expansion of activities at Lincoln and Massey Colleges necessitates this increase in the annual provision under section 22 of the School of Agriculture Act, 1937. £27,000 provided in Main Estimates. (d) Officer (Chief Poultry Instructor) died suddenly on duty at Blenheim. (e) It was expected that a reduction of Council of Primary Production activities could be effected, but the national war needs have since necessitated that those activities be intensified. £200 provided in Main Estimates.
