No. 41.—Petition of Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Whangamomona, Taranaki

Praying for financial assistance in respect of loan indebtedness. I am directed to report that in the opinion of the Committee the petition should be referred to the Government for inquiry. 30th November, 1944.

No. 77.—Petition of Muriel A. Sullivan, of 45 Sutherland Road, Point Chevalier, Auckland Praying for relief for herself and children on account of her husband's war services. I am directed to report that in the opinion of the Committee the petition should be referred to the Government for consideration. In the opinion of the Committee the case should be reconsidered by the War Pensions Board. 30th November, 1944.

No. 79. —Petition of F. W. Varley, of Ngaruawahia Praying for a compassionate allowance on account of an injury sustained in the course of his employment. I am directed to report that the Committee has no recommendation to make. 30th November, 1944.
