(a) £19,595 provided on main estimates. Additional staff necessary in Head Office consequent upon increased activities. (b) Balance of expenditure on rescue-station building. (e) £4,650 provided on main estimates. Additional expenditure required to meet recent commitments. (d) Item required to meet rent on building in Greymouth for storage of drilling equipment, &c. (e) £1,500 provided on main estimates. Increase necessary to meet recent commitments. (/) Estimated amount required to cover expenses of Drill Superintendent to America. (g) £300 provided on main estimates. Additional ear required for use by departmental olficcr who has been using his own car (/;) £500 provided on main estimates. Increased activities by inspection staff on coalfields necessitates additional trucks.
