APPENDIX D ANNUAL REPORT OF THE CHIEF ELECTRICAL ENGINEER The Chief Electrical Engineer to the Hon. the Minister of WorksSir, — Upon the passing of the Electricity Act, 1945, the Electrical Branch of the Public Works Department was raised in status to that of a separate Department of State. The new Department is charged with the administration of the various Acts relating to electric supply, and takes over the administration of Part XIII (except section 323) of the Public Works Act, 1928.
