(a) £13,000 provided on main estimates under these two items. Further provision necessary due to increased field staff engaged on supervision of farming operations in connection with development of land for settlement by ex-servicemen. (b) £2,000 provided on main estimates. Additional provision necessary as increased overtime is being worked in various offices. (c) £2,500 provided on main estimates. The expenses of many officers on transfer have increased owing to the difficulty in obtaining houses. (d) £6,000 provided on main estimates. (e) £1,650 provided on main estimates. The cost of construction of new pontoon is greater than anticipated. (/) £269 provided on main estimates. Further provision is necessary to enable the work to be completed. (g) Provision for payment of compensation to petitioner for damage caused to his property through the drainage of Poukawa Lake.
