New equipment and replacement of furniture and furnishings at Auckland, Kingseat, Tokanui, Porirua, Christchurch, and Seacliff Hospitals. {b) £9OO provided on main estimates. Purchase of additional mechanical equipment. Motor-mowers for Nelson, Porirua, and Seacliff. (c) £5,300 provided on main estimates. Purchase of additional equipment, including sewing-machines, for Raventhorpe and Levin and mechanical stacker at Porirua. {d) £9,000 provided on main estimates. Part cost of purchase of nine 16 mm. sound motion projectors and improvement of patients' recreational amenities. (e) Part-cost of purchase of nine 16 mm. sound motion projectors and also purchase of medical-training equipment from surplus stores from War Assets Realization Board. Balance of cost of 16 mm. sound motion projectors provided under item " Patients' expenses connected with recreation." (See note (d) above). (/) £15,891 provided on main estimates.
