This report deals with the work of the Department since the previous report was placed before Parliament, and covers the period ended 31st March, 1947. I have, &c., G. W. Clinkard, Secretary. OBITUARY The death on Bth April, 1947, of the Hon. D. G. Sullivan, who had administered the portfolio of Industries and Commerce since November, 1935, is recorded with regret. The personal relations between the late Minister and the officers of the Department were always of the most friendly and helpful nature, and his passing will be keenly felt by all who were associated with him during his long term of office.
