Reports for 1948 of the Advisory Committee The Committee adopted unanimously the text of a draft resolution proposed by the United States delegate which took note of the reports submitted to it by the Advisory Committee on Administrative and Budgetary Questions and expressed its appreciation of the constructive work of the Committee during the past year. Owing to pressure of time this draft resolution was not considered by the Assembly at the first part of the third session. Approval of Committee Recommendations All the recommendations of the Fifth Committee with the exception of that relating to the adoption of Spanish as a working language and the recommendation dealing with the reports of the Advisory Committee were approved by the General Assembly. Draft Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide. 2. Permanent invitation to the Secretary-General of the Organization of American States to be present at sessions of the Assembly. 3. Registration and publication of treaties and international agreements. 4. Transfer to the United Nations of functions and powers previously exercised by the League of Nations under the International Convention relating to Economic Statistics, signed at Geneva on 14 December, 1928.
