Venereal Diseases.—Tables 11 and 12 show the numbers of persons attending the venereal-diseases clinics for the years 1944-48 :

Infectious Disease in Maoris.—The figures do not call for any special comments, and, except in poliomyelitis, are mostly lower than the figures for preceding years. The attached tables give details of the notifiable diseases reported in 1948.
