The Committee had power to co-opt and also to set up specialist sub-committees to make recommendations to it about any of the matters under consideration. The present Committee includes representatives of the New Zealand Institution of Engineers, the Engineers Registration Board, the Ministry of Works, the University of New Zealand, the New Zealand Secondary Schools' Association, the New Zealand Technical School Teachers' Association, and the Education Department. We should like to express our thanks to all those organizations and individuals who tendered evidence and thus assisted our deliberations and also to those who completed the questionnaire sent out by the Committee. This assistance was much appreciated. We wish also to express our appreciation of the efficient work of the Secretariat and to thank them for their continued attention to the whole problem.
