Dunedin City Empowering Bill The Local Bills Committee, to which was referred the above-mentioned Bill, has the honour to report:— (1) That it is a Local Bill. (2) That the Standing Orders have been complied with. (3) That the rights and prerogatives of the Crown are not affected. (4) That the Committee recommends that the Bill be allowed to proceed with the amendments as shown on the copy of the Bill annexed hereto. 24th August, 1949.
Thames Borough Council Empowering Bill The Local Bills Committee, to which was referred the above-mentioned Bill, has the honour to report:— (1) That it is a Local Bill. (2) That the Standing Orders have been complied with. (3) That the rights and prerogatives of the Crown are affected, in that the land described in the Schedule is portion of a block of 551 acres held in trust for harbour development and maintenance, and may therefore be held to be a public reserve subject to the provisions of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928 ; and in that it provides for the cancellation of the mineral reservations in favour of the Crown which are noted in certificate of title 275/175. Note.—The rights and prerogatives of the Crown will be further affected if the new clause 7, which seeks to bind the Crown, and which is recommended by the Committee, is adopted by the House. (4) That the Committee recommends that the Bill be allowed to proceed with the amendments as shown on the copy of the Bill annexed hereto. 31st August, 1949.
Christohurch Tramway District Amendment Bill The Local Bills Committee, to which the Christchurch Tramway District Amendment Bill was referred, has the honour to report as follows : (1) That it is a Local Bill. (2) That the Standing Orders have been complied with, with the exception of Standing Order 366, which in so far as it relates to the number of days from the commencement of the session within which Local Bills may be introduced was not complied with, but was suspended by the House. (3) That the rights and prerogatives of the Crown are not affected. (4) That the Committee recommends that the Bill be allowed to proceed without amendment. 31st August, 1949.
Lyttelton Harbour Board Loan Bill The Local Bills Committee, to which was referred the above-mentioned Bill, has the honour to report: — (1) That it is a Local Bill. (2) That the Standing Orders have been complied with. (3) That the rights and prerogatives of the Crown are not affected. (4) That the Committee recommends that the Bill be allowed to proceed with the amendments as shown on the copy of the Bill annexed hereto, 7th September, 1949.
