(PER PEE3S ASSOCIATION.) London. January 7. The Conference between Messrs O'Brien and Parnell has ended, and it is officially intimated that a peaceable settlement on the question of the leadership is effected. It is reported that Mr Parnell agrees to retire from the lead i£ Mr Justin McCarthy resigns, thus leaving the whole party to elect a new leader. Mr Arnold Morley, M.P. for Nottingham, is, reported to have warned Mr O'Brien that Mr Gladstone insists on Mr Parnell's final withdrawal from public life. Mr Dillon approves of Mr O'Brien temporarily replacing Mr Parnell as the leader of the party.
