ASHBURTON—MONDAT.
(Uefore Mr Alfred Harrison, J.P.) - Dkiwkenness.—Patrick Cashan was charged with having been drunk in East Street on Saturday might. He was further charged with having resisted the police in the execution of their duty. Constable McGill arrested Accused at halfpast eleven on Saturday nighty opposite Saundors' Buildings. He was very violent, and gave the constable great trouble. He pleaded guilty, and was fined Ss, or forty-eight hours' imprisonment, jor drunkenness, and sent seven days to gaol, without the option of a fine, for resisting the police. Frank Allan was fined 10* and costs, for having been drunk on the Wakanui Road on Sunday morning at about one o'clock.
