MOUNT HUTT.

The usual monthly meeting of the Mount Hutfc Road Board was" held on Thursday, July 9—all the members present. It was decided to shingle the boundary road between Sherwood and Mitcham, subject to the consent of the Rakaia Board to bear half the cost; to reshingle about one and a half miles of the Cairn brae road, north of the railway ; to f ria Lo full width a portion of the West Coast road oppoti c Mr D. Cameron's (Olunes) land ; and So put the cutting into j,he Ashburtori River;,near Mr Johnston's, into passable order. It was resqlved that the Chairman ask the Ashburton Qounly Council to send a deputation to. meet the Board at the Ralfaxa Gorge cutting, that it may be pointed out to them that it is not feasable to keep the present cutting m order, Acqounts amounting to £103 4s lOd were passed for payment.
