CANTERBURY JOCKEY CLUB METROPOLITAN MEETING.

The great sporting festival of the year commences at Uiccarton on Monday, this day huving been fixed upon, though not altogether convenient for visitors from a distance, on account of its being a public holiday m honor of the Prince o£ Wales' Birthday.
