RICCARTON TRAINING NOTES.
CimsTOHURCH, November 6. Tne with cirawal of Blizzare made no change but the non acceptance of Freedom has been a severe Mow for backeis Flinders has now assumed the position of a stroiu' favorite, and it is understood lie was backed by his owner some lime since, but. that it was only m the last week he was satisfied • that tho colt had a fair chance of winning, and the work done by his pair for some time confirmed this.
Visitors are arriving from all quarters. There was a heavy mist this morninsr, which prevented a full view of the work, but the Cup candidate, Crackshpt. did a •rood mile and a half, accompanied by Florrie for the last mile. fCynisca hardly went as well as Whisper, Cruchfield performed a strong working gallop, as did Flinders and Freedom. Resefeldt also went very well, but neither She nor Dilemma was Jextended. Cajolery, btwtled by some horses galloping rearsd and got over a picket fence yesterday. ■Though not seriously injured he was a little muscle sore this morning, both before and after work. British Lien after his gallop yesterday was likewise a little sore; this wore off after being out an hour. Thame did steady work. From present appearances, there will be no more defections.
Saracen, Morpheus, Huguenot, Conjurer and Emmason, are the fresh horses working. The first looks n fine colt. He was not extended. Morpheus, the Derby candidate, was s \?eated; he looks only fair. Not more than a'dozen fiorses have to arrive, and these are of the rough division. To-morrow's work should be interesting. Scralchi ng.—Somnambulist, Hurdles, noon.
