New York, August 1. The barque Alice, which left Auckland for New York on May 8 th, has arrived after a terrible voyage. Off the Horn she got locked m between solid ice on the port side, and an iceberg forty miles long and four hundred feet m height on the starboard side. She escaped being crushed with the greatest difficultly,
