Hampstead Town Board.

The ordinary monthly meeting of the Hampstead Town Board was held on Monday—Messrs Andrews, Orr, Macpherson, and Elliott being present, with Mr Andrews in the chair in the absence of Mr Crooks, who was granted two months' leave of absence on account of ill-health. Mr Bickman bent an apology, he having left for Napier. The Clerk was instructed to write to Mrs McLean's agent (Mr Bullock), enquiring if certain roads on R.S 5800 lnd been dedicated as agreed. It was resolved that the email reserve on Seafield road be let for one year from April—th^e tenant to erect a gate and pay rent in advance. Also, that the day man cut the thistles off the footpath on Main South road, and deliver notices to occupiers in South street; also to (give Mr Silcock notice to re-' move gates from a road into the river, and the Works Committee wereauthorised to make a small cutting into the riverbed. Mi- Elliott enquired what was being done towards supplying Netherby with WAter, and was informed that the County Council was endeavoring to arrange the matter in conjunction with taking control of the Wakanui creek. Certain small debts due to the Board were ordered to be recovered. Accounts amounting to £14 14s were passed, and the Board adjourned.
