Colonel Saunderson has received the sum of £50, made up by shilling subscriptions from Unionist working men in England, in recognition of his opposition to Home Rule. The enrolment of Unionists in the north of Ireland is proceeding with activity, though as yet nothing distinctly military has been done. Lord Carrington has been appointed chairman of the Welsh Land Commission. It is reported that Lord Rosebery, while attending the Queen on her visit to Florence, will seek an interview with the Foreign Ministers of Italy and Germany.
