Colliery Explosion.
ONE HUNDRED AND FORTY-SEVEN MINERS ENTOMBED. London, July 4. By an explosion in a colliery at Thornhill, Yorkshire, 147 miners were entombed. July 5. It is feared that all the men entombed by the explosion in Comb's pit, Thornhill, are lost. The origin of the explosion is shrouded in mystery. The pit is on fire.
