THE JUBILEE REGATTA.
REGATTA CLUB MEETING,
The Auckland Regatta Club held a meeting last evening in the Waitemata Hotel, for the purpose of concluding the business in connection with the sailing and rowing xaces, in which protests had been entered «t the late Jubilee Regatta. Mr L. D. Nathan presided. The large yacht race vas the first taken into consideration. It was decided to award the first prize of £40 and Mr John Marshall's handsome silver cup, valued at fifteen guineas, to Mr Biudon's Maritana, and this was done. In the second-class yacht race the Committeo, after considering various protests and taking evidence, decided as all the yachta did not comply with the rules that this race be sailed over again on the 22nd inst., Saturday. The following prizes were then paid, after due consideration of the protests: — Fifth race (large fishing boats): Christina, first ; Caprera, second. Sixth race : Manola, ifirst; second prize nob awarded. 'Eighth race: Maud, first; Italy, second ; Doris, third. Tenth race: Alice, first; Era, second; Phyllis, third. Sixteenth race (junior whaleboats) : North Shore Eowing Club, first ; City Rowing Club, second. The Hauraki crew were disqualified for having changed some of their crew after entering. At the close of the meeting Mes-rs J. B. Graham, Jas. Haultain, George Cozens, and D. H. Ross were appointed a sub-committee to revise the Club rules and to report at- a future meeting
