regard to the circular mentioned in our yesterday's issue to the effeeb that a compromise ticket had been formed for the North Ward, but other candidates had since been broughb cut, we are informed that the recognised leaders of the moderate party never entered into or acknowledged any such compromise. The moderate and independent candidates are Messrs Charles B&ileyi J. J. Craig, J. J. Holland, Adam porter and Jonathan Winks.
