Mr W. Sharp, of Wellington. has been appointed second secretary (commercial) and assistant trade commissioner. Peking.

He is now working in the trade policy division of the Trade and Industry Department. Before joining the department in 1979. Mr Sharp served in the Customs Department. in the Legislative Department, and in the Ministry of Transport. He will begin his duties in Peking in December after a period of language tuition.
