Granted for 60 days. Lloyd and others, 90 days, No. I east, Royal Standard reef. Granted for CO days. WATER RACES. Perry and another.—Race to carry four sluiceheads from two miles above Kawarau Station. Objected to by Hueston and another, and by Roddy and another.—License granted. No appearance of the objectors. H. C. Bate (for Victoria Company), from where Logan and party intend to erect machinery for the Cromwell Quartz Mining Lease.—Adjourned for surveyor’s report. Baird and others.—Application for cancelling of a grant made to R. A. Loughlan and others for a license to take twelve heads of water out of Coal Creek.—Application cancelled accordingly. TAIL RACES. Charles Schultz and another.—Application for a tunnel 300 ft north-east of Duffer’s Point.— Granted. APPLICATIONS FOR EXTENDED CLAIMS. Ah Chuck and four others. —Extended claim of five acres at Luggate Creek. —Objected to by A. Farquhar. Granted conditionally on applicants keeping open the water-channel in Cow Gully. Ah Young and two others.—Extended claim of three acres on the west bank of the Bannockburn.—Objected to by Randall. Applicants were granted a claim of two acres. Thomas Scott and another.—Extended claim of two acres at head of Pipeclay Gully.—Granted. RESIDENCE AREAS. Ah Kee applied for one aero near the Westmoreland Co.’s dams.—Granted. An application from John Towan for one acre situated near Westmoreland Co.’s dams was also granted.
