Beuth Creates Chaos With Ball.

Last year's champions, T.C.O.B., made no lieadway against vHeretaunga in a match that may have a vital hearing on tlie disposition of the ehampionship. The first three wickets fell for one run, and the whole side was out for 71, only Evans, who played steadily right through. for 38 not out, making a stand. Beuth. bowling with a ball that he could scarcely hold and on a wicket that favoured the batsmeu, caused great havoc with his fast ball, taking eight wickets for 23 runs.
