SLOW SCORING.

United Bat All Day. United batted all day against H.S.O.B. for 157 runs. The first six men were out for 38, but G, Stevens and Love then added 60 ' runs for the seventli wicket, the former batting vigorously for 57. Scott-Kelly made 32 and when stumps were drawn beeause of the failing light Love was 38 not out, the tatai being 157. Gifford again bowled well for Old Boys, taking six of the wickets that fell.
