At n reprcscntativc mccting of Hastings huKiness people this morning it was resolyed to invite the Alayor, Mr G A. Maddison, to a lunclieon at the Grand Hotel to-niovrow at 12.30 ji.iu. to express appreciation of Mr Maddison's services to Ihe town during lii.s occupaiicy of thc Mayoral cliair. Occasion will also he taken to ask him wliether therc is any possibilitv of his reconsidcring Ji is decision pot to oli'er Iiimself for rc-clection.
