Mr B. W. Bond, of Waipawa, is on a visit to Wellington. Mr W. E. Barnard, M.P. for Napier has returned from a visit to Wellington. • Miss B. Limbrick, ivho has been on a visit toi Seddon, returned to Waipawa on Saturday night. Mr Gilbert McKay leffi Hastings to-day by this moming's express tram on a business visit to Wellington. Miss E. Pellow returned to Waipawa on Saturday evening from Wellington, wliere she spent the Easter vacation, Mr C. G. Harker. of Waipawa, wlio has been attending the legal conference in Wellington, returned home on Saturday. Mr W. Nash, of Wellington, son of Mr IV. Nash, the national secretary ' of tlie Labour Party, has taken up residcuce in Napier. Mr J. Sandeman, of Waipawa, returned home at the week-end from a Visit to Wellington, where he attended the legal conferenee. Captain Phil Fowler, of Napier, and Captain D. M. Allan, of Havelock North, have returned from a refreslier courso'in aviation at the Sockburn Aerodrome. Colonel Lawrence, "the Dncrowned Eing of Arabia," who recently returned to Britaiil from India, has rejoined the Royal Air Force as "Air craftsman Sliaw.'1 Mr R. H. Hai-per, the newlyappointed magistrate, took his seat for tho first time 011 the bench at Gisborne to-day. He ivas welconied hy the Law Society. — Press Association. Mr William Plowman, one of the earlier scliool of Napier colonists, is at present seriously ill and is an inniate of a private hospital. His many friends in Napier will be -grieved to hear of his illness. Constable J. B. Williamson, of Christchurch, who has "been spending tho week-end with his parents, Mr and !Mrs Pi. Williamson. The Jlon. E. A. Pansom, Minister of Public Works, arrived at Stratford on Saturday night.
