SYDNEY, This day. At the shipping freights conferenee the desire for uniform freights on both the Australian and New Zealand export trades was expreissed by Mr J. Balderstone, representing the lamb and mutton industry. He said tliat, rightly or wrongly, tbe impression was gaining grouncl tbat reduetions in New Zealand were brought about by the efforts of the export control boards. Australia was desirous of carrying on without such boards. Her obiective, however, was to got at least similar rates to those in New Zealand.
