On the Napier green tlie home pair, Wardell Johnston and E. Bissell, stalled off a challenge for the Spackman Sliield by J. Johnson and W. Forsyth. Englebretsen's rink, Napier, defeatcd MeKee. To suit the convenience of some of the memliers of the teams interested, McLeay, Port Ahuriri, played his match against Bewley, Hastings, being defeated, 20 — 19, after an interesting game. AT PORT AHURIRI. Six rinks were engagecl at the Port Ahuriri green, when heavy rain eaused play to be abandoned. In the championsliip singles, F. Logan, _J. Johnson and W. Forsyth have eight wins to their credit, while R. Smith, R. Boyd and J. McCarthy have been successful in seven games. The competition will now be decided between the first three, tlie .draw being : Logan meets Johnson, Forsyth meeting the winner. Logan is the only player who succeeded in getting all his games and his success as a young player is very pleasing. THE NAPIER CLUB.
