THE KUMEROA GATHERING. FINAL RESULTS. So numerous were tbe eutries in each class of the Kumeroa dog trials that the programme could not he completed in the three days alloited to it, and the local event — the ladies bracelet for maiden dogs and competitors resident in Woodville county — had to be held over and was run on Saturday. With fields of over 30, the judge, Mr C. Hay, of Masterton, had a tiring task. The arrangements for the liolding of the trials had been well attended to> by the enthusiastic secretary, Mr A. Staples' Moss (Te Kuiti). 39pts. 3 R. J. MacDonald's Boy (Dannevirke), 38pts ... 4 HEADING & YARDING (MAIDEN DOGS). T, Morgan's Fleet (Dannevirke), head 8, pull 8J, drive 2-J, hurdles 4, drive 3^. work at yard 8-), yard 6, command 9 — 50 points 1 E. F. Curry's Silver Link, Woodville), 8, 7, 2, 4, 2, 7-L 6, 8.J— 45pts. 2 P. Bisset's Meg (Pahiatua) 7, 6, 3, 4, 3, 7, 6, 8 — 44pts 3 By winning the cup (donated by liimself some years ago) for Class 1. Mr J. Lang now holds the tropliy for keeps, having won it three times.
