ANNUAL GENERAL iMEETING HELD. Tlie annual meeting of the Wairoa Hockey Sub-Association was lield last week. Mr F. J. Single presided and there was a fair attendance of memhers. Both tlie annual report and balance slioot were adopted and showed a very satisfactory position, all members stating that it was the best for a good many years. In view of tlie retirement for the season of Mr Single, it was carried j uanimously that his splendid services I to the Wairoa Hockey Association be ! recorded 111 tlie minutes. Every member present spoke in high praise of Mr Single's generous worfc and the past season's success was liiainly due to the great interest he took in hockey. Tlie following officials for tlie Gnsuing season were appointed : — Patron, 3Ir C. P. Brnndon ; president, Mr R. Noble : auditor, Mr H. E. Stanton ; spcretary and treasurer, Mr J. F. Hangliton, re-elccted. All retiring vire-presidents were re-elected. It was decided to appoint committees at a future meeting. Nominations are to clese on Tuesday, tlie 30th. inst., and the next meeting is to be lield on May 2. A liearty vote of thanks was extcnded to Mr H. E. Stanton as lionorary auditor. The retiring president spoke very liighlv of tlie good work put in by tlie secretary, Mr Haugliton. He, tlie speaker, had never worked with a botter ono. and he moved that he be granted a bonus. The. liewlv elected president. Mr Nohle, supported the rcmarks. He considered that the association was most fortunate in liaving sucli a conscientous secretary and he was pleased to see his re-election. The motion was carried unanimously.
