LONDON, April 21. It is reliably stated that tlie quostion of a message of appreciation and tiianks from the King to the people of the Empire for their sympathy. in lns Majesty's long illness, is being considered. If it is decided upon it will prohably take the form of "A letter to my people," and be signed by tlie King. Princess Elizabeth celebrated her third birthday at the Naseby Hall, Nortliamptonshire, surrounded by piesents from tlie Royal Family, and tor which she asked as soon as she i awakened. The Duke and Duchess of York prescnted her witli a Shetland pony, in oider that slie could take lier first riding lessons. Tlie Prince of Wales sent a Cairn terrier puppy.
