It is intended by tlie Government to convene another oonferenco between the eoal owners and representatives of the miners, when the proposals will bo submitted. Tlio Alinisters are confident that they will bo aceeptable to botli sides, and that tlio mincs will re-opcn witlnn a fortnight. Details of tlie proposals have not been divulged. but it is understood that the State and Federal Governments will propose a reduction of tlie men's wages. Tlio mines will reopen and tbe Royal Commission will be appointed immediately.
