In all the various sehool districts ihroughout Hawke's Bay meetinags of l.ouseholders wero held last evening, tlie attendances in all cases heing most satisfaetory. ESK YIEW SCHOOL. A very reprcsentative body of householders met at tlie Esk Yiew Sehool last niglit. tliere being between 50 and 00 present. Eleven persons were nominated, and, as ouly five were required for the new committoe, an election took placc, with the result that Alcssrs W. E. Saunders, W. II. Phillips. S. Agnew, F. AY. Conway and A. J. Sewell were clected. At a subsequent meeting of the newly-eleeted eomniittee, Alr Phillips was clected chairman aiul AY. E. Saunders secretary. At tlie eonelusion a very liberal response was mado to an appeal towards the cocoa fund.
