TO VISIT HAWKE'S BAY

THE HON. E. A. RANSOM, Minister of Public AATorks, arrives in Napier to-morrow evening on a visit to the district on river matters. On Friday, with a committee of the Clive ratepayers, he will visit the much talked-of "cut" leading from the Tutaekuri river to the overflow channel and in the afternoon he will discuss river problems with the Hawke's Bay Rivers Board, which has before him a scheme for flood prevention works for both rivers, which it is waiting for him to approve so that it can be carried out.
