Sir Josejih Ward issued the following Anzac Day message: — "On the fourteenth anniversary of the memorahle landing at Anzac T would like. as Prime Minister, to recull the glorious deeds and sacrifices of our gallant soldiers in the Great War. While w o mourn tlie loss of so niaiiv of the flower of our manliood, i,ot onlv at Gallipoli, Imt on other hattlefields, we take pride in the fact tliat tliey worthily uphehl the hest traditions of our raee. and their liames liveth for evermore. It is for all of us to do everythiug possible to ensure that the tremendous sacrifices then made have not been in rain and to strive earnestly to prevent a repetition of such conflict in the future.
