RESULT OF SATURDAY' S PLAYa Bowling proceeded in • Napier oa Saturday in beantiful weather and, some excellent matches were witnessed* At Port Ahuriri the singles cliampioiw ship semi- final was won by J. JoIuh ston from F. Logan by 15 to 12. Tha final between W. Forsyth and J-. Johnston was then decided, W. For-! syth winning a good game by 21 to 9. In the Colts' cliampionship D. Head^ was beaten for the first time in these * games, his opponent being R. Richard-« son, and the score 20 to 18. Richardson's second game, against G. Rus* sell, was also good, the former winning by 17 to 16. MAYO BUTTONS. The early stages of the Mayo But« tons rink games showed the rinks well balanced, but tlien Wrightson (chal« lengers' skip) went to the front aud made tlie score 20 — 2 against Plested (holders' skip). Tlie latter then gathered in 2, 3 and 5 in three heads. This was tlie last of their success and the challengers are now liolders of the silver buttons. Tlie rinks were — Challengers : W. Lockwood, J.
