The Hawke's Bay Aero Club wrote asking for a rebate a the rent of the Assembly Hall on the occasion of their recent dance. The rental was £5 13s 9d. It was decided to reduce the amount to £4. PETROL TAX. The Main Higliways Board advised that the sum of £334 12s 4d had been allocated to tlie council as its portion of the petrol tax for the quarter ended Marcli 31, 1929. — Received. ELECTRIC AL OPERATORS. The New Zealand Electrical Federation advised that it had heen agreed to seek a separate award for electrical operators and asked the council to anrange for assessors to be appointed at the supplv cnginecrs' conference to be held on May 20. — Received.
