FUNERAL APTER THREE YEARS. Elaborate Preparations.
(Eeceived This Day, 1 p.m.) SHANGHAI, May 16. Plans for the State funeral of tlie late Dr. Sun Yat Sen, the Cliinese revolutionary leader who died 'three years ago, at Vien Tsin and Avliose remains were preserved in order tliat they might be deposited in a special mausoleum in Purple Mountain, Nanking, are almost completed. A11 anouncement from tlie capital states that the burial. which is scheduled to occur on June 1, will conelude with probably the most elaborate funeral ceremonies ever. beheld in the Far East and lasting a week. A special road has been cut through the heart of Nanking for purposes of tlie procession, the Government rutlilessly demolisliing thousands of 11ative homes without compensation.
