The new cut whicli the Tutaekuri was reported yesterday afternoon as having scoured out for itself throngh Papakura to the AA'aitangi, is now proved as non-existeut, the river having actuallv hurst tlirough the istopbanks behind Fairev's and Euglish's and ilowcd ove'r tho paddocks. No clearly defined cliannel has reaehed the Meanee-Pnpakura road, indicativo of the l'act tliat the niain forcc of the water liad heen expended and much of its volumo dissipated before it reaehed there. Up till early tliis afternoon the fiooded conditions made it practically an impnRsibility for anyone to visit the sceneMif tlie brcak.
