The worst of tho slips on this lattor section is that which occurred in tho Mohaka Gorge. but it is oonfidontly expected tliat this will he cleared hy to-night. Tlio heaviest slips have undouhtedly occurred on the Napier side of the Deyil's Elbow, and with further slips having come down at Tangoio, wliere the oreek is still in fiood, althnugh drnnping. the relief gangs are faccd with a hard tnsk.
