WELLINGTON, This day. Replying to a question in the House by Sir George Hunter, as to whether tbe Government, during tbe present session, will intvoduce legislation providing for a sclieme of superannuation to include nurses, other than those engaged in the public hospitals, the Minister said_ that under the legislation passed in 1927. amending the National Frovident Fund Act, nui-ses employed in private hospitals, or by other private employers, could, irrespective of age or income, be brought by tbeir employers into tbe national provident fund for tveekly pensions, with a maximum of £4 at the aee of 60, together witb other subsidiary benefits of the fund.
