MEETING OF BOARD. GENERAL ADMIN I STR ATIVE MATTERS. The monthly meeting of the Hawke's j Ray Hospital Board was held yesterclay, Mr C. O. Morse presiding over an attendance of Messrs A. E. Bedfcrd, H. V. Hoaclley, H. Hill, F. B. Logan, G. Priest, and Dr. H. M. Wilson. Leave of absence was granted Messrs C. II. "Williams and S. J. McKee. In connection with the lighting of tlie Hastings Hospital it was decided to approach the Hawke's Bay Power Board on the question of the installation of a double-throw switch. ' Tn reference to tbe maintenance- of the radio equipment at the Hastings Hospital the engineer was instructed to confer with the contractor and mako a recommendation. It was decided to write to the Hawke's Bay Countv Council pointing out that the amouut referred to in their rate demands as being for hospital purposes, is not used solely for the uppeek of the hospital, but ineludes all other functions of the Hawke's Bay Hosnital Board, amongst which are outdoor relief, Old People's Home, sanatorium treatment, maternity homes, etc.
