MARGARET JANE PENDRAY.
Tliere passed awav at the residence of her daughter, Mrs Barugli, _ear^Y t'his morning, Margaret Jane, relict of tlie late Rev. J. J. Pendray, and daughter of the late Rev. M atthew Baxter, of Christchurch. Born in Jamaica in 1851, the late esteemed lady came to Neiv Zealand about 1S67, and had been verv c-losely connected Avitli the Methodist Church throughout Neiv Zealand, until 3 years ago, when an aceident laid her aside. Her liusband Avas at different periods, :n charge of tlie Methodist cireuits at Christchurch, Reefton, Wellington, Westport, - Oxford, Paparoa, Waipawa, GreytoAvn, Waitara, Eketahuna, Pahiatua and LaAvrence* and Mrs Pendray was of great assistance in their spiritual work." „ „ The deceased lady leaAres a family or seven sons and daughters, the daughters being Mesdames W. J. Pellow, Waipawa, L. Fisber, Taumarunui, A. H. Hayes, Hastings, B. Barugb, Hastings, and tbe sons, Messrs Thomas and Jack Pendray, of Taumarunui and Mr William J. Pendray, of Waipukurau. Great Kvmpatby is felt for tlie members of tbe family and also for the 25 grand children. The interment takes place at laumarunui to-morroAV.
