OBITUARY
MR PATR1CK JOHN LONG. It Avas Avith verv sinccre regret that resideiits of Hastings lcarned yesterday of the death of Mr Patrick Johii Long, avIio passed uway at his residence, Kai-amu road, early yesterday morning. Ihe deceased gentlenian, avIio Avas G5 years of age, had been a rcsident of the district for many a'oai'.s and Avas ivell knoAvn and highiA csteemed bv a a'erv large circle oi l'riends. His death was really unexpcctcd, for, altliough he had been ill for some time, his condition 011 Friday was shoAviiig verv sound iniprovement. A sudden bad 'tuni followed. however, and from this he clid not rally. To mourii his death he leaves a widow, son and daughter. and to them will be extended the very deepest sympathy in their bereavemnt. The funeral took place at the Hastings Cemeterv tbis afternoon. Requiem Mass being held in tlie Hastings Catholic Churcli this morning.
